What are the programs for Pre-K-Elementary parents in your district? Edgecombe County Family Resource Center
The mission of the Edgecombe County Family Resource Center is to provide a continuum of services that enhance the quality of life for individuals and families in the Edgecombe County Public Schools District. (No longer exists, but plan is to reopen in 2015-2016)
Facilities The center has computers with Internet access and a conference room available for reservation. Groups reserving the room must be non-profit organizations not in opposition with the vision and beliefs of the District.
The center also has a lending library for parents and childcare providers. Materials focus on the growth and development of young children and may be checked out for a two week period.
Parents as Teachers This program provides parents of children up to age five with support and activities for the early years. For more information, please contact Crystal Hyman, (252) 823-2819
